#ImazonInTheMedia: Bills before Brazil Congress slammed for rewarding Amazon land grabbers (Mongabay) 3w5s46
The land regularization in the Brazilian Amazon was highlighted by Mongabay. After an interview with the Imazon’s associate researcher Brenda Brito, the website talked about two proposed laws that could reward land grabbers.
“We are not talking about lands invaded in the past, but about lands invaded now and in the future. It will force the areas that are being illegally occupied to be put for sale. If it happens, we can say goodbye to public forests” said Brito to Mongabay.
