Exploração madeireira no Acre chega a quase 11 mil hectares em um ano 2i522k
Atividade se concentrou em cinco municípios do estado: Porto Acre, Feijó, Sena Madureira, Acrelândia e Bujari 3l4d27

O Acre teve uma área de quase 11 mil hectares de exploração de madeira entre agosto de 2020 e julho de 2021, segundo uma pesquisa da Rede Simex (Imazon, Idesam, Imaflora e ICV). A atividade se concentrou em cinco municípios: Porto Acre (36%), Feijó (33%), Sena Madureira (25%), Acrelândia (3%) e Bujari (2%).
Além disso, os dados apontam que 94% da atividade ocorreu em imóveis rurais privados e não foram encontradas explorações em áreas restritas como Unidades de Conservação de Proteção Integral e Terras Indígenas. Dois Projetos de Assentamento Agroextrativista (PAE) apresentaram explorações mapeadas, o PAE Porto Dias, que tem como principal renda o Manejo Florestal Comunitário, e o PAE Canary, que é ligado à Floresta Estadual do Antimary.
Neste ano, foi possível distinguir de forma inédita a exploração regular da irregular devido ao o aos dados públicos. Isso porque os pesquisadores precisam cruzar as áreas com exploração madeireira identificada por imagens de satélite com as autorizações emitidas pelos órgãos ambientais. Após esse cruzamento, foi possível concluir que em todos os 10.886 hectares de floresta com extração de madeira no Acre houve a permissão para a atividade. Ou seja: no estado, 100% da exploração madeireira foi regular no período de agosto de 2020 a julho de 2021.
Para isso, foram utilizados os dados abertos do Sinaflor, a partir do Sistema Compartilhado de Informações Ambientais (Siscom), e dados dos Planos de Manejo Florestal Sustentável licenciados pelo Instituto de Meio Ambiente do Acre (IMAC), além da validação de algumas áreas pelo próprio órgão estadual. Para Leonardo Sobral, gerente de cadeias florestais do Imaflora, o canal de diálogo estabelecido e a receptividade do IMAC foram estratégicos para a validação das informações.
