Grandes nomes se reúnem em Belém para falar de sustentabilidade 6g2i8
Miriam Leitão, Ricardo Abramovay, Sérgio Abranches e Sérgio Besserman. Estes são os convidadospara um bate-papo que vai acontecer no próximo dia 22 dentro da XVI Feira Pan Amazônia do Livro em Belém. Desenvolvimento sustentável, economia verde e mudanças climáticas são alguns dos temas a serem tratados durante essa série de conversas que será mediada por Beto Veríssimo, pesquisador sênior e co-fundador do Instituto do Homem e Meio Ambiente da Amazônia (Imazon).
O bate-papo “Literatura & Sustentabilidade”, apenas para convidados, reunirá lideranças do setor ambiental, social e político além de empresários, intelectuais, jornalistas, artistas, ONGs e estudantes. Os quatro autores têm forte ligação com a temática ambiental e estarão lançando livros em Belém e realizando sessão de autógrafo durante o evento.
Míriam Leitão, jornalista de economia e negócios da Rede Globo e do Jornal o Globo, é autora do da obra “Saga Brasileira” pela Editora Record. O livro aborda a história recente da economia brasileira indo da hiperinflação ao plano Real. A estabilização da economiapermitiu ao Brasil começar a tratar as questões de longo prazo como educação de qualidade e sustentabilidade.
O sociólogo Ricardo Abramovay, professor titular da USP, pesquisador da FAPESP, é autor do livro “Muito Além da Economia Verde” lançado em 2012 na Rio + 20 pela Planeta Sustentável/Abril. Abramovay defende que para migrar para um modelo eficiente de desenvolvimento sustentável é preciso ir muito além da economia verde. “Todos sabem que estamos muito aquém dessa economia e, apesar disso, o livro propõe ir além desse conceito, rumo a uma realidade totalmente diferente. Não se trata de uma economia verde com penduricalhos. É um novo conceito, em que a questão central é colocar o pé no freio. Será que vai dar tempo de fazermos menos?”, questiona o sociólogo.
Sérgio Abranches, cientista Político e comentarista da rádio CBN, é autor do livro “Copenhague Antes e Depois” pela Editora Record. O livro resume e analisa os fatos e os bastidores da cúpula global sobre o clima de 2009 em Copenhague (Dinamarca), durante a 15a Conferência das Partes da Convenção do Clima, a COP15.
Sérgio Besserman é Presidente do Câmara Técnica de Desenvolvimento Sustentável da Prefeitura da Cidade do Rio de Janeiro e professor de Economia da PUC-RJ. Ele também é comentarista do Bom Dia Rio da TV Globo. Besserman foi também diretor de planejamento do BNDES e Presidente do IBGE e do Grupo de Trabalho da Prefeitura do Rio de janeiro para a Rio + 20.
Para Beto Veríssimo, mediador do evento, o bate-papo é uma oportunidade ímpar, pois reúne um grupo seleto de autores com foco na temática de mudanças climáticas e economia verde. “O Brasil finalmente está começando a publicar bons livros sobre mudanças climáticas e sustentabilidade seguindo o o da Europa e Estados Unidos, onde tanto acadêmicos como jornalistas têm publicado muito sobre o tema”.
