Oficina fala sobre fluxos de atuação na área do desmatamento e queimadas para integrantes da região do Tapajós 2x12t
Foi realizada nos dias 15 e 16 de maio, na sede das Promotorias de Justiça de Santarém, a oficina “Fluxos de Atuação Ministerial na Área do Desmatamento e Queimadas”, promovida pelo Centro de Apoio Operacional Ambiental e Centro de Estudos e Aperfeiçoamento Funcional (CEAF) do MPPA. O objetivo foi apresentar os sistemas e qualificar os participantes nos fluxos dos processos e procedimentos ambientais, para tornar suas atuações mais efetivas e eficientes.
O evento reuniu membros e servidores do GT Tapajós, coordenado pelo CAO Ambiental e composto pelos municípios de Aveiro, Belterra, Jacareacanga, Juruti, Mojuí dos Campos, Santarém, Trairão, Novo Progresso, Itaituba e Rurópolis. O GT foi criado pela Portaria n° 832/2016-MP/PGJ. Em cooperação com as promotorias de Justiça locais atua na esfera judicial e extrajudicial, na prevenção, remediação, compensação e responsabilização de danos agroambientais de cunho regional.
O pesquisador do Imazon, Paulo Amaral, apresentou o tema “Região do Tapajós: Contextualização e Diagnóstico do Uso do Solo na Região do GT Tapajós” e fez a entrega aos promotores de Justiça de mapas físicos contendo a situação territorial dos municípios da região do Tapajós. A programação da oficina iniciou com a apresentação dos promotores de Justiça José Godofredo, que falou sobre a atuação do CAO Ambiental, e Lilian Braga, titular da Promotoria de Justiça do Meio Ambiente de Santarém, que falou sobre o GT Tapajós. Foi destacada a grave situação envolvendo as queimadas no ano de 2024, em Santarém e demais municípios do Tapajós. No ano de 2024, conforme dados do Instituto Nacional de Pesquisa, o Pará foi responsável por 56.070 focos de queimadas (20,1% do total).
O Procurador-geral de Justiça, Alexandre Tourinho, enfatizou a importância dos GTs do Tapajós e do Xingu nas questões ambientais que afetam as populações, destacando a iminência da realização da COP-30. “Em um evento dessa envergadura, nós não podemos ser meros participantes, nós temos que ter aquele papel principal, nós somos as pessoas que vivem na floresta, queremos a floresta em pé, queremos os homens também, as mulheres em pé, queremos todos bem. Então não podemos jamais dispensar nesse momento, o estudo, o acompanhamento das nossas populações originárias. Isso é meio ambiente também. Não podemos dispensar todo o trabalho que vocês têm aqui, tanto no GT Tapajós como no Xingu. Nós queremos mostrar que o Ministério Público popular, o Ministério Público humano, está presente e está trabalhando”, concluiu.
