Parque Estadual Monte Alegre celebra 20 anos com apoio do Imazon 6n3e2z
Exposição com a história do PEMA sendo visitada na UC.
O Parque Estadual Monte Alegre completou 20 anos na terça-feira (9) e o Instituto do Homem e Meio Ambiente da Amazônia (Imazon) apoiou a data comemorativa com a realização de um mostra com painéis que contam a história da Unidade de Conservação (UC), em formato de linha do tempo.
A exposição, desenvolvida em parceria com o Instituto de Desenvolvimento Florestal e da Biodiversidade do Estado do Pará (IDEFLOR-Bio), servirá para as ações de educação ambiental nas comunidades do entorno da UC, bem como nas atividades da Área de Proteção Ambiental Paytuna, que circunda o PEMA.
Painéis serão utilizados pelo serviço de educação ambiental.
O conteúdo cita várias pesquisas e expedições científicas realizadas por pesquisadoras e pesquisadores brasileiros e estrangeiros que documentaram os vestígios arqueológicos do local. A exposição poderá ficar tanto no próprio parque quanto ser usada de forma itinerante nas escolas do município.
As informações foram coletadas com base no livro “Guia arqueológico do Parque Estadual Monte Alegre”, de autoria das pesquisadoras Edithe Pereira e Cristiana Barreto, lançado em 2017 pelo Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi (2017) e pela Universidade Federal do Oeste do Pará (UFOPA).
Festival
Para celebrar as duas décadas do PEMA, foi realizado pelo IDEFLOR-Bio o 1º Festival Cultural do Parque Estadual Monte Alegre, com apresentações musicais e concurso de miss e participação da comunidade do município, do prefeito Matheus dos Santos e da gestora do PEMA Patrícia Messias.
Festival contou com apresentação de danças típicas da região, que exaltam a flora e a fauna amazônica.
