Série de debates celebra as unidades de conservação do Brasil 2o1w1q
Começa hoje o Proteja Talks 2020, evento que reúne personagens e especialistas em unidades de conservação do Brasil, neste ano em uma parceria com a iniciativa Um Dia No Parque.
Entre terça-feira (13) e sexta-feira (16), de 17h a 18h30, o encontro virtual vai trazer o olhar e a experiência de quem vive e trabalha nessas áreas protegidas. O tema principal são os 20 anos do Sistema Nacional de Unidades de Conservação (SNUC), que criou as bases oficiais para sua criação, consolidação e gestão, além de abrir portas para o uso sustentável de seus recursos naturais, a criação de reservas particulares, entre outras inovações.
Hoje, as unidades de conservação protegem a natureza e seus recursos genéticos, fornecem serviços ecossistêmicos como chuva e regulação de clima, servem de lar e fonte de renda para populações tradicionais e são barreiras contra o avanço do desmatamento.
No fim de semana, a programação especial fica a cargo da Rede Pró-UC, que organiza a iniciativa Um Dia no Parque. Além da ações presenciais em unidades de conservação no domingo (18), workshops e palestras virtuais acontecerão durante todo o fim de semana.
