E-book JusAmazônia: Transparência e Tecnologia para a Proteção da Amazônia c3g55
A Plataforma JusAmazônia é um portal de pesquisa e monitoramento de ações civis públicas, desenvolvida pelo Instituto Democracia e Sustentabilidade (IDS) com o apoio do Instituto do Homem e Meio Ambiente da Amazônia (Imazon), no âmbito do projeto Deforestation Free – Supply Chains and Financial Markets, que conta com financiamento da Norways International Climate and Forest Initiative (NICFI), e tem como objeto o desmatamento ilegal na região da Amazônia Legal, trazendo amplo o e transparência aos dados do Poder Judiciário. A Plataforma JusAmazônia permite analisar a efetividade dos processos judiciais – das Comarcas, dos Tribunais de Justiça estaduais, das circunscrições e dos Tribunais Regionais Federais, da região ou circunscrição do Poder Judiciário na Amazônia Legal –, relativos ao desmatamento ilegal nas unidades de conservação e reservas legais, aos danos ambientais, incluindo impactos na flora, à proteção da biodiversidade e à conservação das águas e, também, à segurança pública e à defesa e proteção dos povos e comunidades tradicionais e indígenas, em fase processual, sejam elas pendentes de julgamento, seja em fase de recurso e/ou execução, nos tribunais estaduais e federais na região amazônica.
A Plataforma provê o amplo e aberto, com total transparência dos dados, que evidenciam temas importantes para a proteção e a preservação do meio ambiente brasileiro, viabilizando a consulta de dados em números, uma análise jurimétrica e outros diagnósticos, que permitem compreender a realidade do desmatamento ilegal da floresta amazônica. Também apresenta resultados de estudos empíricos e de campo, realizados por diversas áreas das ciências, com o propósito de mitigar os conflitos judicias, combater o desmatamento ilegal e o seu impacto na degradação ambiental, e, ainda, adotar medidas mitigadoras das mudanças climáticas, que causam reflexos no mundo inteiro.
A adoção de políticas públicas de resolução de conflitos ambientais e fundiários leva à preservação da Amazônia, o que favorece a preservação do bioma e o desenvolvimento sustentável nos Estados da Amazônia Legal. Para tal fim, é primordial a colaboração de instituições públicas, sociedade civil e atores locais.
