As áreas de preservação da Amazônia brasileira têm sido alvo de ataques crescentes nos últimos anos. Além de
aumento na taxa de invasões e desmatamentos nas Unidades de Conservação, o discurso político contra a
conservação também tem sido mais frequente e agressivo. A tendência pede uma ação mais estratégica dos atores
sociais que trabalham a favor do meio ambiente.
Para contribuir com essa nova estratégia, o Imazon e o Mundo Que Queremos elaboraram uma pesquisa de
opinião pública. O objetivo foi avaliar como os brasileiros de todas as regiões se posicionam em relação às áreas
protegidas.
